A City Hall That Works for Us
It is easy to talk about affordability. It is different to know what it feels like to worry about rent, childcare, groceries, and whether your paycheck will stretch far enough. As a renter, working mother, and lifelong Burbank resident, I bring that experience with me every time I walk into City Hall. I will continue fighting for a city government that listens to working families and makes daily life easier.
In my first term, I delivered:
- Established the Burbank Community Grant Program to fund organizations providing direct benefits to residents
- Increased City funding, staffing, and events dedicated to community services and quality of life
- Put the needs of renters and working families at the center of City Hall discussions
- Put forward the City’s first ever tenant protection and rent control ordinance
In my second term, I will:
- Continue my work to pass meaningful protections for Burbank renters
- Create incentives that make childcare more affordable
- Provide childcare access for residents attending City Council meetings
- Encourage local employers to offer paid parental leave
- Expand access to parks, community programs, and walkable neighborhoods
- Continue funding local organizations through the Burbank Community Grant Program

A Burbank Where Everyone Is Welcome and Safe
Every person deserves to feel safe, respected, and welcome in Burbank. That means protecting residents from crime and emergencies, but it also means standing with people who are targeted because of who they are. I will continue supporting strong emergency services while defending immigrant families, LGBTQIA+ residents, and anyone whose voice is too often left out of the decisions made at City Hall.
In my first term, I delivered:
- Passed a landmark sanctuary city ordinance prohibiting City employees, facilities, and resources from being used for federal immigration enforcement
- Established Burbank’s first community assistance fund for families directly impacted by ICE raids
- Helped fully staff and equip Burbank’s emergency personnel such as our fire department
- Supported ongoing fire academies to recruit and train new Burbank firefighters
- Approved improved benefits that help Burbank recruit and retain qualified first responders
In my second term, I will:
- Keep Burbank’s fire and emergency personnel fully staffed and equipped
- Ensure Burbank Water and Power and Forestry emergency response teams have the staffing they need
- Strengthen wildfire, earthquake, and disaster preparedness
- Expand protections for immigrant residents from the use of local resources for federal immigration enforcement
- Continue supporting families harmed by immigration raids and sudden loss of income
- Defend the dignity and rights of transgender and LGBTQIA+ residents

A Burbank Filled With Economic Opportunity
Burbank was built by working people, from studio crews and small-business owners to healthcare workers, educators, and first responders. Today, too many residents are watching jobs disappear while the cost of living continues to rise. I will fight to protect the industries that made Burbank successful while bringing new, high-quality jobs into our city.
In my first term, I delivered:
- Appointed by Governor Newsom to represent Burbank on the California Film Commission, and advocated for expanded film and television tax credits
- Requested a study of Burbank’s minimum wage and the financial pressures facing local workers
- Worked with Economic Development staff to attract game development and healthcare companies to Burbank
- Supported new housing development that creates construction jobs and strengthens the local economy
- Advanced labor standards that protect wages and working conditions on major projects
In my second term, I will:
- Protect and work to rebuild Burbank’s film and television industry, while attracting new media industries to the city
- Fight for tax incentives that result in real local jobs
- Bring more game development, healthcare, technology, and creative economy companies to Burbank
- Support small businesses and make it easier for them to succeed
- Promote fair wages and strong workplace protections
- Make sure major developments create quality jobs for local workers

A Burbank Everyone Can Call Home
Housing should provide stability, not constant fear that one emergency could force a family out of Burbank. As a social worker with experience serving people facing homelessness, I know that solving this crisis requires both prevention and meaningful support. I will continue working to keep residents housed, create more affordable homes, and make sure homelessness funding reaches the people it is intended to help.
In my first term, I delivered:
- Helped reduce homelessness in Burbank
- Approved more than 2,000 units of housing
- Secured $3.5 million for a permanent homeless solutions center
- Increased funding for nonprofit organizations, food banks, outreach workers, and mental health response teams
- Expanded services for residents experiencing or at risk of homelessness
In my second term, I will:
- Complete the permanent Burbank Homelessness Center
- Build more housing that working families can afford
- Strengthen protections that prevent displacement and homelessness
- Secure additional state, county, and regional funding for local services
- Expand outreach, food assistance, and mental health programs
- Require transparency and measurable results from homelessness spending

A Burbank Preserved for Generations to Come
Protecting Burbank means taking care of the air we breathe, the neighborhoods we walk through, and the public resources future generations will depend on. Environmental action should improve people’s lives today through cleaner air, safer streets, lower emissions, and stronger protection from fires and extreme weather. I will continue pushing Burbank to lead with practical solutions that residents can see and feel.
In my first term, I delivered:
- Approved restrictions on unnecessary single-use plastics
- Approved Burbank’s transition away from polluting gas-powered leaf blowers
- Supported policies that reduce harmful emissions and improve neighborhood quality of life
In my second term, I will:
- Expand reliable and accessible public transit
- Invest in safer walking and biking infrastructure
- Increase the use of clean energy throughout Burbank
- Protect Burbank’s trees, parks, and open spaces
- Strengthen wildfire prevention and climate resilience
- Continue reducing pollution, waste, and harmful emissions
